London Day 3

Today Emory turns seven!

So hard to believe...these years are just flying by.

Whoever said, "the days are long, but the years are short" nailed it.

Emory amazes me.  She has so many natural gifts--intelligence, athleticism, motivation, an ability to push herself, curiosity about people and the world.  It's been such a privilege to watch her grow in her walk with Jesus and develop these gifts.  I can't wait to see how He uses her.

We started the day with presents for our Birthday girl!

Then Kennedy gave her 7 birthday spankings-ha!

And we headed into the city.  Check out these little mini jugs of milk the kids got for breakfast.  Funny!

Looking at the Tower of London

We crossed the Millenium Bridge on our way to the Natural History Nuseum

And ran into this guy on the other side.

Then we grabbed some cupcakes for later.

Somehow we had gotten turned around, so we jumped on a double decker bus.  Fun way to see the city!

This is Trafalgar Square.

The Natural History Museum building is gorgeous!

Heading into the core of the earth to learn about earthquakes and volcanoes.  Total crowd pleaser!

This was a makeshift grocery store they had set up to look like a real one in Japan when an earthquake struck.  You stand in the center and watch real footage of the store when the shaking started, and then the store you're standing in begins to shake and gradually it gets worse and worse (and loud!).  Everything is clanging against the walls--it's crazy!  Then the room goes black and the shaking stops and you hear emergency sirens and on the screens it shows ambulances and fire trucks driving around the city.

We hadn't seen the Mayfair area yet, so we headed that direction for dinner.

This is the Lady Di Memorial walk.  It runs through Kensington Gardens.  There were lots of runners and bikers enjoying it when we were passing through.

The Audley House.  This place was packed!

London is awesome--We loved everything about it!

The kids especially loved hearing English.  It gave their brains a little break :)
